Sushi
Sushi is one of the most famous Japanese dishes in the world, prized for its simplicity, freshness and balance. Sushi dates back over a thousand years, when fresh fish was preserved with fermented rice. Over time, this method evolved into nigiri sushi in Edo period Japan, where fresh fish was combined with seasoned rice and served quickly – the foundation of modern sushi.
Today, sushi includes many styles, including nigiri, maki, sashimi and gunkan, all based on high-quality ingredients and precise techniques. From traditional preparation methods to modern interpretations, sushi remains a symbol of Japanese culinary craftsmanship and respect for raw materials.
